During the International Water Mist Association conference in Rome (25-26 October 2017) , Antonio Terio, country manager at Danfoss Semco explained about the many benefits of using high-pressure water mist technology for the protection of shopping centres build in a historical city. 14000 m²  representing  La Rinascente, the beautiful shopping centre in Rome, have been converted from traditional sprinkler technology to Danfoss SEM-SAFE^® high-pressure water mist technology for fire fighting. The shopping centre situated in the heart of  Rome, La Rinascente, is truly special because ancient ruins combine in an elegant way with modern elements design to create a charming environment that could not be disturbed by any other installations.  Not only that the SEM-SAFE^® high-pressure water mist system blended very well with the architectural features and requirements, but many installation and construction obstacles were successfully overcome by using the Danfoss fire fighting system, e.g  with SEM-SAFE^® there was no need for a water reservoir normally required by a traditional system, thus saving valuable space.
