Lowest possible water damage in case of fire activation

Danfoss Semco Modena Library

Modena Library, Italy: Protected with SEM-SAFE® by Danfoss

Wherever valuable or irreplaceable documents, books, micro films, etc., are stored – for example, in museums, libraries and archives – it is important to protect them against fire. At the same time, it is just as important that they are not destroyed by the large amounts of water deployed by traditional sprinkler systems or, even worse, when the fire brigade is called out to put out a fire.

Lower risk of secondary damage

  • The low water consumption and the fine spray of a high-pressure water mist system significantly reduces damage to equipment and holdings in archives, libraries and museums
  • Systems can be made with dry piping, without pressure and water in the protected areas to further reduce the risk of water damage by accidental release
  • The mist catches sparks and smoke particles and washes them out of the air, thus preventing destruction of sensitive documents in other parts of the building

More architectural freedom

  • Perfect solution for old buildings
  • Easy to install in modern buildings
  • The stainless steel pipes are very small in diameter, they are easy to bend and handle.
  • The structural impact is very low

Efficient fire fighting

  • SEM-SAFE® will act efficiently in suppressing and often extinguishing the fire.
  • Limited heat damage
